Important - read before signing: Family Court Navigator is a document preparation and coaching service. We are not a law firm. We are not attorneys. We do not provide legal advice, legal representation, or legal strategy. By signing this agreement, you confirm that you understand and accept these limitations. You represent yourself in court at all times.
Family Court Navigator agrees to prepare the documents included in the selected service package based on the information and instructions you provide. All documents will be prepared in Washington State family court format, ready to review, sign, and file.
We will communicate with you through your client portal, answer reasonable questions about court processes and document formatting, and deliver all prepared documents to your portal within the agreed timeframe.
You agree to complete your intake form fully and accurately, respond to our questions promptly, review all documents carefully before signing or filing, and notify us immediately of any errors or changes needed.
You are responsible for filing your own documents with the court, serving copies on the opposing party, and meeting all deadlines in your case. We will provide deadline information based on what you tell us, but we cannot be responsible for deadlines you have not informed us of.
The total fee for the selected service is as indicated above. Payment is due before work begins. For split payment arrangements, work begins after the first installment and document delivery is held until the second installment is confirmed.
Refund policy: If you cancel before work begins, you receive a full refund minus a $50 administrative fee. Once drafting has begun, refunds are pro-rated based on work completed. Completed packages are non-refundable. Full terms in our Terms of Service.
All calls conducted as part of our services are recorded. By scheduling a call, you consent to recording. Recordings are retained as the definitive record of what was communicated and will be produced in any dispute proceeding. No verbal statement on any call constitutes legal advice.
We will keep all information you share with us strictly confidential and will not share it with any third party except as described in our Privacy Policy or as required by law.
Important: Because we are not attorneys, attorney-client privilege does not apply to our communications. Your information is protected by this agreement and our Privacy Policy, but does not carry the legal protection that attorney communications would.
Family Court Navigator's total liability under this agreement is strictly limited to the lesser of (a) the amount you paid for the specific service at issue, or (b) $500. We are not liable for court outcomes, filing rejections, missed deadlines you did not inform us of, errors caused by information you provided, or any consequence of decisions you make about your case.
You assume all risk associated with self-representation in family court. Document preparation does not guarantee any court outcome. You indemnify and hold harmless Family Court Navigator from any claims arising from your use of documents we prepared, including any claim that our services constituted legal advice or the unauthorized practice of law.
All disputes are subject to mandatory binding arbitration as described in the full Terms of Service, which are incorporated into this agreement by reference.
This agreement is governed by the laws of Washington State. Venue for any permitted court proceeding is King County, Washington. Family Court Navigator operates as a limited liability company. Any dispute arising from this agreement must first be submitted to binding arbitration before any court action. Any claim must be brought within 90 days of service completion or it is permanently waived. You waive any right to a class action or jury trial.
